Meet Coach MJ
Lead Skills Trainer - CEO of Metaballic Hoops Academy
Hey I'm Coach MJ! I am the son of a Coach and was born and raised in the gym. After a successful high school career at Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca: 2nd Team All-State C1, Single Season 3pt School Record, 2 State Tournament Appearances, I decided to continue my collegiate career at DIII Nebraska Wesleyan University. After 4 seasons with NWU & DIII Player of the Week Honors, I accepted a teaching and coaching position in AZ, where I resided in the desert for 10 years only to come back to the Midwest to raise a family with my beautiful wife & 3 boys. After 5 years of teaching and coaching in SD, I developed a passion for teaching skills on the court which eventually led to the birth of Metaballic Hoops Academy.

Meet Sterling
Hi my name is Sterling Brassfield. I am a sophomore at the University of Jamestown and play for the Jimmies Women’s Basketball team! I am majoring in Exercise Science Pre-Physical Therapy. Some of my hobbies and interests outside of basketball include working out, crafting, hanging out with friends and family, and all things sports! My favorite player is Sabrina Ionescu and my favorite team is the New York Liberty. I worked for MJ last summer helping run camps and youth programs, and am excited to continue helping young athletes improve their skills!

Hi my names Izzy!! I am from Oakes, ND and I have been playing basketball for almost 11 years. I started playing in 2nd grade and immediately fell in love with the game. I love helping younger kids find their passion in the sport as well! I will be playing basketball at the University of Jamestown and double majoring in Exercise science and Psychology. I love playing basketball all the time but other than that I love reading books and doing my nails.
